I have a question: if my camera gets damaged (motor, lens) but the flex cable is still good, how can I change just the camera and solder it to the original flex cable? I tried transferring a camera from one phone to another, but I got an unknown camera error. However, I saw somewhere that generic cameras are sold. Would those work? Thank you for your time.

So quick question, what happens if that "Delicate flex cable" you were referring to at (9:39) gets torn? I bought an Ipad for parts that has that flex cable ripped off. is it possible to solder a new flew cable in it's place?

Thank you so much! I just used this guide to fix my daughters switch lite after she mangled the port with a micro USB cable 🫣. I melted the plastic inside first replacement and had to desolder and resolder a new one on. A bit tricky and and not really for beginners to soldering. I've built a few guitar pedals before so not a total newbie but my first time doing anything this tiny. 🫨

my black strip broke on the right side, then it broke on the left side but not til it was almost all the way up the left side. what’s the best way to go from here? heat the panel off from the back to loosen adhesive? trying to save the backlight as they pricey lol

I brought my ps5 into u break I fix and even showed them that it worked a before just small white pixels across the screen and a day after they messaged me saying my motherboard is broken and console is not repairable I’m highly thinking they broke it cause this is the 3rd item I’m bringing to them that end up having “motherboard” problems

My Apple Watch SE 2 screen cracked and after getting a few quotes from local shop in the Orlando area and watching several repair videos, I decided to send my watch to Derek to get it repaired. One of the videos that I watched was the one Dereck created pointing out all the mistakes other people do when repairing Apple Watches. Having Dereck repair my watch was a no brainer and it was worth it using his mail in repair service and waiting a few extra days to get the watch repaired correctly and professionally.

Hey guys! So I cracked my macbook pro M1 pro 16 " display and now Im looking for the cheapest way to replace it. Im thinking into buying the lcd (without frame) from Aliexpress for 350 AUD, and then doing a IC swap with the chips from the original screen(150 AUD). I know a guy how does micro soldering and would be able to do a nice job, Im just afraid the aliexpress LCD will not be compatible with the IC from the original screen. Does anyone knows if that would work or have any suggestion? Thank youuu xxx

Thanks Derek, I am slowly getting better at even getting liquid damaged (backlight sheets) panels out without breaking them which is always a good win. Any chance of some details on that tool to remove the adhesive please? A link would be great but at least the full name if not. Thanks again for all the great content
